The natural resources that are in the greater Mackenzie mountains area are Gold and cooper departments, Zinc and lead corporations, Metal sulfide, Sedimentary exhalative deposits and.here is No forestry or hydro power in our area.
Flora and Fauna:
In this area there are a bunch of animals and plants, but these are the main ones... black bears, Dall's sheeps, beavers, foxes , hares, ravens, rock and willow ptarmigans, golden eagles, gyrfalcons, waterfowl, grizzly bears, wolves, wolverines, wide range caribou herds, mountain goats, alpine sheets and bisons. The plant that grow there are... Lichens, mountain avens, intermediate to dwarf ericaceous shrubs, sedge, cotton grass in wetter sites,barren talus slopes are common,white spruce, occasional alpine fir in a willow tree, dwarf birc, The Ogilvie Mountains, composed of Palaeozoic and Proterozoic sedimentary strata intruded by granitic stocks.
In our our region we have many very special species like the wolverine and the wild range caribou herds. Some of our amazing plants are Cotten grass and mountain avens. We also have some wonderful coniferous trees and deciduous like the willow tree(deciduous) and the original but great pine tree(coniferous). We also any other fun trees like The dwarf birch (deciduous) and Stunted spruce tree (coniferous).
