The grey wolf is the biggest species of dog. They resemble to a German Shepard and a Sled Dog or a Husky but have longer legs, slimmer stomach and bigger paws. When running they can go up to 5-10 mph but can attempt 70 mph when on a hunt. They can be found in the tundra, forest or mountains.
The Trembling Aspen is the deciduous tree in our region it loses its leaves in late fall the branches are too high to reach from the ground. This tree makes it own sun block. It's very tall and has a thin trunk
The sub alpine fir is a medium sized trees that grows up to 20m. It has flat needles and ouccur s at high altitudes.They are cone shaped.This tree populates a very large area.
Natural Resources:
1.Tin Copper and gold are the prominent resources in this region. But there are many other mines.
2. This region is home to wolverine which. May be disturbed by the mining.
3.There is a bit of logging in this area.
4.There is oil and gas in the northern part of this region
Our area is unique because we have a huge waterfall because of the snow that melts. Another reason we have wolverines. In our region we have gold and copper deposits.

Why Our Region has Value
Here are some facts about our region. For one our region is the highest place for all animals to migrate in the winter. Our region has a national park named nahanni national reserve, it was one of the biggest waterfalls in the world! There are two other parks in our region, there are territorial parks and wilderness reverses. There is a weirdly shaped river in our region named Peel River, it is one of the three splits of the Mackenzie River.
